Threads of Connection

While I was studying at École Lesage in Paris, I experienced loneliness for the first time in my life. I was working so hard, I had no time to make friends. A few years later, I was invited to host a monthly event in the cosy library of one of the world's most famous bookstores, Shakespeare & Company. With romantic views of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Seine, Threads of Connection was a free, monthly get together on Sunday evenings that created space for relaxed moments of making new friends, chatting about shared interests and enjoying the pleasure of embroidering in good company. All were welcome at Threads of Connection, from the hesitant beginner to the embroidery aficionado, there was a seat for everyone, even a rather charming cat (who thankfully had a laissez-faire attitude to thread!). The evenings of calm and connection ended during the covid pandemic but another embroidered adventure began.
